Introducing the Madison Music Foundry Blog

Those of us who work at Madison Music Foundry find ourselves at a unique crossroads of musicians. On any given week we host hundreds of music lessons, dozens of band rehearsals, and numerous recording sessions at our Blast House Studios. We’re in regular contact with musicians from all walks of life, careers, and skills.

The core of our community interacts in the real world. Of course we exist in the virtual world (after all, you are reading our blog, on our website...), but the people we encounter are playing their instruments, rehearsing their songs, and practicing techniques. These are people in action--working to hone their craft and engage in the art on a daily basis.

We get lots of feedback from folks about what they're working on and what they hope to accomplish. We also encounter people who are doing just what others want to be doing.

This blog is a place where everyone can come together. It's where the touring musician can interact with the beginner. It's where we can consolidate all that we've learned from you and spit it back out into the world for all to see and learn from.  A meeting of minds, music, and experience.

To give you an idea, topics that will be covered here include promotion, music business, lesson tips, gear, musician resources, and music advocacy.

We'll have a number of different people posting here, and we need YOU to comment; because as much as we interact with everyone who walks through our door, there’s a ton of conversation we'd like to have with everyone collectively.

This blog gives that opportunity. The list of topics to the left is a good way to search the blog. Or feel free to just click away!

We hope you like it, and are really looking forward to hearing from you!
