The bass is the most important instrument ever invented (at least according to our Education Director who happens to also be a bassist). Whereas the string bass has been around for a few hundred years, the first electric basses were created in the 1930s. Both versions have a strong presence in music today. It’s a staple in nearly every style of music out there from classical to rock to bluegrass. It provides a foundation for the groove while also doubling as a beautiful solo instrument.
