Foundry Jazz Ensemble Plays Concerts at McKee

From the Studio to the Stage

On June 16, the Foundry Jazz Ensemble mades its 2014 debut at Concerts at McKee in Fitchburg. It was a beautiful evening (luckily the tornadoes came long after everyone went home!), and several hundred people attended. The group played a number of jazz standards including one original written by vocalist/pianist Nadia Geiger.

They're looking to play a couple more gigs this summer at Strollin' Monroe Street (put on by the Greater Madison Jazz Consortium) and Jazz at Five, so keep an eye out!

Also, big thanks to the Big Payback for sharing their equipment with the students. It's support like that from professional musicians that helps give our students a great experience!
